Workplace Charge Scheme (February 2025 Extension)

The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) has been extended until 31st March 2026. 

1. Standard Workplace Charging Scheme Eligibility

✔️ Businesses, charities, and public sector organisations
✔️ Up to £14,000 (350 per socket, up to 40 sockets per applicant)
✔️ Dedicated off-street parking required

2. Enhanced Scheme for State-Funded Educational Institutions

✔️ State-funded schools, colleges, nurseries, and academies
✔️ Up to £100,000 (£2,500 per socket, up to 40 sockets)
✔️ Encourages EV adoption in education settings

3. Other Variations of the Scheme

a) Small Accommodation Businesses
✔️ Hotels, B&Bs, guesthouses, and campsites with fewer than 250 employees
✔️ Up to £14,000 (£350 per socket, up to 40 sockets)
✔️ Must have dedicated off-street parking for guests or staff


b) Landlords & Property Managers (EV Infrastructure Grant)
✔️ Landlords of commercially let properties can apply
✔️ Funding available for both charge point installation and related electrical infrastructure
✔️ Up to  £30,000 per property (£850 per parking space)


c) Owners of Commercial Parking Facilities
✔️ Businesses operating commercial public parking sites
✔️ Support for EV chargepoints and supporting infrastructure
✔️ Aims to improve wider accessibility to EV charging
